TICKET BLUES: Knocked Out Of A Wheelchair And Lost $175,000

A wheelchair vendor in Singapore sells lottery tickets. Read here about another wheelchair user in Illinois who wasn't so lucky.

Here's the full testimonial from one of my Silverites about how he missed out on a cool US$175,000.00.

But there's some good news in this story, and I'll tell you about it after...

Ken, I am sorry to say that I had all 5 numbers for the Illinois Little Lotto last Thursday and did not play unfortunately. A young girl hit me with her car and knocked me out of my wheel chair the Saturday before. This did considerable damage to the chair and myself resulting in my not winning the $175,000 pot. This would have been mine alone since nobody had the winning numbers. How is that for bad luck? Tell everyone to watch talking on a cell phone while driving. Larry (name and address supplied)

Of course the bad news is that he didn't get to play. But the good news is that Larry really won... the prize was sitting there waiting for him to play it.

You and I have it easy compared to Larry. All we have to do is make the effort.

Let me tell you what I had to do tonight to buy my tickets...

I had just driven back from upcountry - a 6 hour trip there and back. Since the tickets weren't in my car, I dropped off my wife, fed the cat, picked up the tickets, and went back another 10 minutes up the road to buy them.

And since it is draw night, I only just got in a few minutes before they closed ticket sales.

So whatever your circumstance, stretch it and get those tickets bought! It's really worth it.

Just to give you some incentive, here's a story from Lester who also didn't buy, and lost $1 million:
