Three cats and a dog get to feature on the scratch-off tickets for the upcoming Texas Lottery games.
In the photo above from left: Markus, a cat owned by Peggy Wyrostek of Arlington, Allie a rescued Maine Coon cat owned by Jeff Henderson of Dallas, Stella, a special needs English bulldog owned by Paige Sills of Ovilla, Fangsy a cat owned by Jennifer Frye of Dallas.

They received top votes in the recent Texas Lottery's contest held on Facebook.
In the first weeks of November more than 1,700 dogs and cats were entered into the contest.
Photos with the most Facebook likes won the opportunity to have their photo featured on tickets for the scratch off game.

“I must have screamed out loud I was that excited!” Peggy Wysrotek told the Texas Lottery after learning her cat was a winner.
“Markus brings so much joy to our everyday life. He is unlike any kitty that I have seen. I just knew that he was meant to be a star!”
The Wisconsin Lottery has also featured animals on their scratch card tickets.
