First there was the PostCode Lottery, where you won according to your location. Now there's GeoLotto, and the UK-only game is also location based.

Roy Tyler from Leighton Buzzard in England won the first £1million cash jackpot prize in April, and was paid out from GeoLotto’s weekly Saturday draw after betting on his old hometown of Watford.

GeoLotto is an online lotto game powered by Google Maps says SBC News.

It is played on an interactive map converted into a giant game-board that’s divided into location squares.

Players choose squares to ‘own’ at £1 per play and winning squares are chosen at random.

Roy placed his £1 bet on his old hometown of Watford to win the top million pound prize.

A keen traveller, Roy is already planning trips to climb Mount Fuji in Japan, and visit the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza in Mexico. He also plans to donate money to a staggering 30 charities!
