RICH IS... Owning a superyacht like TV's $440 million Judge Judy

The 152 foot yacht formerly owned by TV reality star Judge Judith Scheindlin is seen at Fort Lauderdale waterways in Florida.

She's been on tv since 1996, owns a private jet and several multi-million mansions. On the Forbes Celebrity 100 list the 79-year-old is said to be worth $440 million.

Judge Judy Scheindlin, twice married, syndicated her popular show as a hard-hitting reality tv judge and spent her money on a number of high price assets.

Judge Judy has spent her millions on mansions and penthouses all over the US. She has homes in Florida, Connecticut, New York, Rhode Island, and California.

The reality TV judge, best known for laying down the law in our lounge rooms for the past two decades, has had her staggering salary revealed in a 2016 lawsuit and is now the world's highest paid TV star.

She also wrote a book in 1996 called 'Don’t Pee on My Leg and Tell Me It’s Raining’ (right).

According to the lawsuit filed against network CBS, the then 73-year-old Brooklyn-born judge banks a whopping US$47 million every year.

The Judge Judy series has grossed more than US$1.7 billion during its 19 seasons on air.

Its success was undoubtedly aided by Sheindlin's razor tongue and the hilarious cases it presides over.

Judge Judy’s yacht was called "Triumphant Lady", is 152 feet long, has 5 cabins for 14 guests. It was sold for US$6.9 million - to a lucky lottery winner perhaps?

Now take a look at one of her homes in Los Angeles as featured in Born Rich.

Judge Judy has a condo at the new and swankily swish Montage Beverly Hills hotel and condo complex, which cost her and husband a whopping $10,700,000.

The apartment is a 4,680 square foot spread with five bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, four exposures, seven small balconies and four dedicated parking spots in the underground garage.

Judge Judy recently bought the $9 million 'Bird House' in Newport, Rhode Island. It was previously owned by Campbell Soup heiress Dorrance Hamilton, and on one of the highest points of Newport, just minutes from the water.

Judge Judy recently sold the massive back catalog of the Judge Judy TV show to CBS for $100 million, and earned $47 million in 2020 filming the show.
