The game said Pick 3, so 12,406 lottery players did! The number 3 was a popular choice for Pick-3 lottery players in Carolina, and as a result, they got $4.9 million in total prize payout.
The Feb. 9 Wednesday afternoon drawing in 2022 resulted in a big payout of the triple digit numbers 3-3-3.
Known as ‘trips’, these are some of the most popular numbers played in Pick 3 games, said the North Carolina Lottery.
Winners of the 50-cent tickets received $250 prizes, and the $1 ticket-holders got $500 each.
The total payout according to NC Lottery officials was $4,973,892. Winners have 180 days to claim their prizes.

The odds of matching all three numbers in a Pick 3 drawing are 1 in a 1000.

ABOUT: Drawings in the Carolina Pick 3 game are held twice a day, at 3 p.m. and at 11:22 p.m.
Players can either pick their own numbers or select a Quick Pick by allowing the lottery terminal to generate a set of three numbers for them.
