Triple Winners! Massachusetts couple wins $1million lottery scratch-off prize for the THIRD time in five years

The more you play, the more the pay! That could be the lucky mantra for this triple-winning couple who have won $1M a massive three times.

Janet Pflaumer-Phillips of Lakeville and her husband Kevin are $1 million richer after winning the Massachusetts State Lottery instant ticket prize. Kevin has also won two other $1 million prizes within the last 5 years.

Janet won her $1,000,000 cash prize (less tax withholdings) on the new “Diamond Millions” $30 instant ticket, claiming her winnings last Monday.

Janet Pflaumer-Phillips bought her lucky ticket was purchased at A&A Petro, 381 West Grove St. in Middleborough. The store will receive a $10,000 bonus for its sale of the ticket.

Kevin won his first $1 million prizes in April of 2014 and September of 2016.

His winning tickets were purchased at Trucchi’s Supermarket, 438 West Grove Street in Middleborough, and Shaw’s, 95 Washington St. in Canton.

Kevin Phillips of Lakeville won his second $1 million ‘Win It All’ scratch-off prize in 2014.

Kevin Phillips beat the odds on April 30, 2014 when he picked a lucky scratch $5 “Win It All!” ticket for another $1 million prize.

Then on Sept. 29, 2016, Phillips had the magic touch yet again when he picked a Mass Lottery’s $10 “100x The Cash” game, and won another $1 million prize at a Shaws supermarket in Canton.

The first win Kevin had was bought with a ticket here in 2014 at Trucchi’s Supermarket, 438 West Grove Street in Middleborough.

The odds of winning the $1 million prize on the “Win it All!” game were 1 in 4,200,000 according to Mass. Lotto, with Phillips facing much greater odds of hitting two $1 million prizes within the short timeframe.

While Kevin used his previous win toward a trip to Disney World, Janet plans to help family and friends with her good fortune.

There are 78 additional $1 million prizes remaining in the “Diamond Millions” instant ticket game.
